The owner, Omer, is an excellent host. On the morning of our arrival, he gave us breakfast, for no charge, and drove is in his own car to meet up with a day excersion. Their was always a staff member to meet us at the door, no matter what time of the morning or night. He made reservations for tours, organised his own staff to drive us and to accompany us at a visit to the caravansaray to see the Whirling Dervishes. We felt very welcome and cared for.
The only problem was due to heavy rains and overcast conditions for days, the solar system was not performing and the water was cold. But the hotel eventually started up their own generator.

Beautiful old ottoman style hotel in yellow stone with arched roof and glorious grape covered courtyard for breakfast back-gammon and relaxing. Our room was very romantic and decorated in the old turkish style. Staff were outstanding very helpful and flexible and it was very easy to organize trips and transportation with their help. The location was lovely half way up the hill to wish view point. Urgup is a lovely base for exploring Cappadocia with tremendous sites, views and walking trails on your doorstep. The food in the restaurants was excellent as well.
The low entrance to some of the bedrooms - duck or grouse!

staffs were very kind. but it was very hot summer day, and we had hard time to have breakfast due to serious attact of flies and bees. but it was great time. my room was quite cool to stay in night, but my friend's room was upstairs and they complained that they couldn't sleep well due to hot weather.

The owner and staff were very accomodating. Whatever we needed, they were there to help. The room we stayed in was charming and clean. The location was very practical due to its proximity to town. All in all, a cute, clean and economical place to stay.
The bathroom of our room was very small. That was really the only thing that I did not like about the hotel. It was tiny and made using the bathroom a hassle.
